August 2026
Three-row electric SUV launched at ₹19.49–23.49 lakh (introductory): 69.2 kWh battery, 517 km claimed range, 5- and 7-seat options. Battery-as-a-Service from ₹13.99 lakh + ₹4.9/km.
India's first mainstream three-row plug-in hybrid launched at ₹25.70–27.80 lakh (introductory): 303 PS combined, 115 km EV-only range, claimed 1,100 km total. BaaS option at ₹21.79 lakh + ₹3.2/km.
Hyundai renamed the Creta lineup — EX, SX Premium and King/King Knight replace the old S/SX (O) tiers. Table rebuilt from Hyundai's official price API (paise-exact); range unchanged at ₹10.91–20.11 lakh.

Ninth-generation Hilux launched at ₹31.99–36.69 lakh across three variants, including a first-ever 4x2 at entry.
Launched as a single fully-loaded e:HEV hybrid variant at ₹47.99 lakh (CBU import; first two allocation batches sold out at launch).
Facelift launched at ₹7.40–13.55 lakh. The new 1.0L Boosterjet turbo becomes the entry engine — the ₹7.40 lakh LXi Turbo undercuts the old base price by ₹86,000. Underbody CNG and Level 1 ADAS added.

Wagon R Flex Fuel (Bioflex) launched at Rs 7.24 lakh on 15 June 2026, India's first mass-market E20-to-E85 flex-fuel car and Rs 86,000 above the petrol ZXi+ MT. It is sold to the commercial sector only, so the private-buyer range stays Rs 4.99-6.90 lakh.

Production wound down and bookings closed from 1 April 2026 after nine years; only remaining Nexa dealer stock is on sale. Sales fell 13% year-on-year to 11,871 units between October 2025 and March 2026.
November 2025
Quietly discontinued after three years on sale. Final ex-showroom prices: ₹27.32–33.64 lakh (post the September 2025 GST reduction).

How often do car prices change in India?
More often than most buyers realise. Manufacturers typically raise prices two to four times a year (January and post-budget are common), facelifts reset entire variant ladders, and introductory launch prices usually rise within months. Some models — the Mahindra Thar had three hikes by July 2026 — move faster still.
How is this changelog compiled?
Every entry comes from our weekly price-verification cycle: prices are checked against the manufacturer's official site plus at least one major aggregator, and only changes confirmed by two sources are recorded. Data corrections to our own listings are logged here too, with the same transparency.
Why do launch prices rise after a few months?
Manufacturers commonly announce 'introductory' prices to build initial momentum, then withdraw them once bookings stabilise — increases of ₹20,000 to ₹1 lakh within the first six months are routine. If you're buying a recently launched car, booking early at introductory prices genuinely saves money.
