Mahindra Scorpio-N

Up to Rs 1,25,000 on remaining pre-facelift dealer stock: Rs 1,00,000 cash discount plus Rs 25,000 of accessories. This is a sharp jump from the Rs 30,000 recorded last week and reflects dealers clearing old inventory now that the 2026 facelift (Rs 13.69-25.49 lakh) is in showrooms. The facelifted car itself carries no discount.

Hyundai Creta

Up to Rs 1,00,000 total benefit on Creta petrol and N Line variants (cash discount + exchange/scrappage + corporate + upgrade incentives). Base E petrol gets up to Rs 85,000 and CVT variants up to Rs 90,000, while any diesel Creta gets only up to Rs 10,000. Ceiling unchanged from the previous week, but the variant split is now documented.

Tata Nexon

Nexon petrol select manual variants (Smart+, Smart+ S, Pure, Pure S, Pure+, Pure+ S, Pure+ PS, Pure+ PS S): Rs 10,000 consumer offer + Rs 45,000 Freedom Offer + Rs 15,000 exchange OR Rs 20,000 scrappage - max Rs 75,000. Remaining petrol variants top out at Rs 55,000, Nexon CNG at Rs 60,000, Nexon diesel at just Rs 20,000 (exchange/scrappage only). Unchanged from the previous week's Rs 75,000 ceiling.

Kia Sonet

Rs 10,000 cash (1.2 HTX (O) only) + Rs 20,000 exchange + Rs 15,000 scrappage + up to Rs 15,000 corporate - max Rs 60,000. Other MY2026 Sonet variants (1.5 diesel, 1.0 turbo-petrol, remaining 1.2 petrol) get up to Rs 50,000. Unchanged from the previous week.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza

Rs 25,000 cash + Rs 15,000 exchange OR Rs 25,000 scrappage + Rs 5,000 corporate - max Rs 55,000. This is a reversal of last week's snapshot, which recorded the facelifted Brezza at NIL: two independent August roundups now list Brezza benefits at Rs 55,000, so the earlier zero looks to have been a stale grouping with Dzire/Ertiga. Flagged for human review.

Maruti Suzuki Wagon R

Rs 25,000 cash + Rs 25,000 exchange OR Rs 10,000 scrappage + Rs 2,500 corporate - max Rs 52,500. Down from Rs 62,500 last week, the difference being a lower stated scrappage figure in this source. Separately, the Wagon R Flex Fuel (Rs 7.24 lakh, launched 15 June 2026) remains commercial-sector-only and is not part of the private-buyer range.

Mahindra Thar

Up to Rs 50,000 cash discount on the 3-door Thar in August 2026 - up from the NIL recorded in the previous two weekly snapshots. For context, the 5-door Thar Roxx (a separate model) carries up to Rs 1.20 lakh, made up of Rs 92,000 cash plus a Rs 28,000 ceramic-coating package.

Maruti Suzuki Swift

Rs 10,000 cash on petrol MT (Rs 5,000 on CNG MT, NIL on petrol automatic) + Rs 25,000 exchange OR Rs 10,000 scrappage + Rs 5,000 corporate - max Rs 40,000. Down from the Rs 47,500 recorded last week; the difference is a lower stated exchange/corporate mix in this source, so treat the trend as roughly flat rather than a genuine cut.

Kia Seltos

Sources disagree on the ceiling: Autopunditz puts the Fronx maximum at Rs 20,000, an independent Nexa roundup at Rs 25,000. Down from the Rs 30,000 recorded last week.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do some cars have zero discount?

Discounts track demand and supply. Models with long waiting periods — recent launches and segment leaders — carry no benefits at all, while models facing fresh competition or ageing lineups see ₹50,000 to ₹1 lakh+ in combined offers. A zero-discount car with a 12-month wait and a heavily-discounted rival tells you exactly where your negotiating power lies.

Where do these discount figures come from?

Each entry is compiled weekly from published dealer and manufacturer offers, with the source URLs recorded per entry and confidence marked honestly — 'verified' when multiple sources agree, 'single-source' when only one reports it. We track them as a dated, append-only series, so the trend is as visible as this week's number.

Are dealer discounts negotiable beyond the published offer?

Often, yes — published consumer offers (cash discount, exchange bonus, corporate discount) are the floor, not the ceiling. Month-end and quarter-end targets, ageing stock of the outgoing colour or variant, and registration-year changeovers all add room. Use the published figure as your starting point, not your goal.

How reliable are waiting-period figures?

They're the softest numbers in the car market — they vary by city, variant and colour, and published sources are often undated. We record them only when a dated, current source exists, and mark the rest null rather than guess. Always confirm the wait for your specific variant with two dealers.
