Each entry is compiled weekly from published dealer and manufacturer offers, with the source URLs recorded per entry and confidence marked honestly — 'verified' when multiple sources agree, 'single-source' when only one reports it. We track them as a dated, append-only series, so the trend is as visible as this week's number.
Are dealer discounts negotiable beyond the published offer?
Often, yes — published consumer offers (cash discount, exchange bonus, corporate discount) are the floor, not the ceiling. Month-end and quarter-end targets, ageing stock of the outgoing colour or variant, and registration-year changeovers all add room. Use the published figure as your starting point, not your goal.
How reliable are waiting-period figures?
They're the softest numbers in the car market — they vary by city, variant and colour, and published sources are often undated. We record them only when a dated, current source exists, and mark the rest null rather than guess. Always confirm the wait for your specific variant with two dealers.
