Honda ZR-V in short

Launched on 25 July 2026 at Rs 47.99 lakh as a fully-imported (CBU) flagship, the ZR-V is Honda India's statement hybrid SUV — a single loaded variant of the 2.0L e:HEV strong hybrid making a combined 181 bhp with a claimed 22.8 kmpl and 0-100 in 7.9 seconds. Eight airbags, Level 2 ADAS and a 12-speaker Bose system are standard. As a Japan-built import it sells in small allocated batches — the first two were spoken for at launch — and it cross-shops with everything from the Skoda Kodiaq and Tiguan to the Camry and entry luxury SUVs like the BMW X1.

Toyota Fortuner in short

The Toyota Fortuner is the undisputed king of India's ladder-frame SUV segment, dominating sales despite premium pricing and minimal discounts. Its 201bhp 2.8 diesel, proper 4x4 hardware and near-indestructible reputation give it unmatched brand equity against the MG Gloster and Skoda Kodiaq. The lineup now spans a lone 2.7 petrol AT, a value-focused Leader Edition, the new Neo Drive 48V mild-hybrid diesel, and the Legender and GR-S editions at the top of the range.

Volkswagen Tiguan in short

The third-generation Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line landed in India in 2025 as a single, fully loaded flagship with a 204 PS 2.0 TSI, DSG and 4Motion all-wheel drive. It is a five-seat luxury alternative to the seven-seat Skoda Kodiaq and a credible German option against entry-level Audi, BMW and Mercedes SUVs. Massaging seats, a 15-inch screen and adaptive dampers headline a very rich kit list.
